U11 external microphone issues
Most likely your mic has a trs jack (3.5mm with 2 rings), while the HTC U11 (or any smartphone) needs a trrs jack (3.5mm with 3 rings). You can get an adapter, which should work. I haven't tried it myself though, so it would be trial and error. Good luck!
