HTC One M9 is the best phone, why agrees?

Did you noticed the part where I referenced "Google keyboard"... in the part that you quoted me.

HTC One M9 is the best phone, why agrees?

Re: HTC One M9 is the best phone "Get a new phone" is hardly a simple solution, unless you're going to give me the $500 I just spent on this one. To me, a simple solution would be go to options and uncheck autocorrect, just like I did with the Google keyboard or any other phone I've used...

HTC One M9 is the best phone, why agrees?

Re: HTC One M9 is the best phone The only "need" I feel is the need to be able to send a text or email without wanting to throw my phone through a wall.

Can HTC make a true comeback?

Thank you very much, that did the trick.

HTC One M9 is the best phone, why agrees?

Re: HTC One M9 is the best phone Heh, I was just thanking you in another thread. If you think not being able to turn off auto-correct is a "shortcoming", I guess we just have different standards in software development. To me, that is not a "tweak" but basic functionality. This is the first...

How do I turn off auto-correct on the HTC One M9?

Thank you, that seems to be the only solution. The stock Google keyboard wasn't even installed on mine, I had to download it. It seems a bit ridiculous that the phone is (for me) unusable out of the box. Thanks for your help, maybe one day I will learn to love this phone. Not off to a great...

Do people still recommend this device?

NO!!! There is no way to turn off the auto-correct feature when typing. Annoying doesn't begin to describe what a serious flaw this is.

HTC One M9 is the best phone, why agrees?

Re: HTC One M9 is the best phone I was thoroughly impressed with this phone and was ready to become an HTC fanboy. Until I realized there is no way to turn off auto-correct when typing. Now I cam counting down the 23 months until I can get a new phone.

One M9 and Galaxy Note 4 - which to buy?

HTC M9 cons: There is no way to turn off auto-correct when typing. Seriously.

Can HTC make a true comeback?

The HTC M9 has no way to to turn off auto-correct when typing. I repeat, there is no way to turn off auto-correct when using the M9. As much as I despised my Galaxy, I would switch back in a second if I could for this one reason alone.

How do I turn off auto-correct on the HTC One M9?

I guess the conclusion is that HTC has NO WAY OF TURNING OFF AUTO-CORRECT. The other conclusion that can be drawn is that HTC can no longer be taken seriously as a phone manufacturer.

How do I turn off auto-correct on the HTC One M9?

As I mentioned in the initial question, I thought not being able to turn off auto-correct was a case of me being obtuse. That was my assumption, because I could not fathom that a phone of this popularity would have such a glaring, I will say unforgivable, omission. I have to say I am...

How do I turn off auto-correct on the HTC One M9?

Uninstalling the prediction dictionary had no affect. All the behavior, including all options mentioned previously being on and off, is identical to before uninstalling.

How do I turn off auto-correct on the HTC One M9?

I tried uninstalling the prediction dictionary, but it doesn't seem to have any effect, it still has some default dictionary. I tried clearing the data for the HTC Sense Input app and still the same.

How do I turn off auto-correct on the HTC One M9?

Here is the sub-menu under "HTC Sense Input Keyboard options" "Keyboard selection" and "Prediction dictionaries" are just language selection. Here is the sub-menu under "Advanced More input settings": If I turn off word prediction, it turns off auto-correct (good!) but also turns off the...
