My son has had the freeze in Google logo issue off and on for some time and the tap on the back trick works. But now it's started locking up after startup on the 'swipe to unlock" screen, which requires a soft reset (power button for 10sec). How it's started freezing while he's playing games...

Update: I received the software update from LG. It did not fix the problem. My phone will stay on fine as long as its plugged in. I thought maybe my phone was overheating but it gets hotter while plugged in, so that must not be the problem. I am guessing this is a battery issue but I don't...
