That's what I use it for most often. A chopping motion turns the flashlight on even when the phone is locked and screen off. It's a brilliant feature (accidental pun)!

Ah hah! I found it. It was coming from the Gravity Gestures app. In retrospect, that should have been an obvious culprit, but I only use it for the chop and twist motions (like my Turbo used to do natively - obviously, I miss that phone). Yeah, lift to wake is off. I've searched all over my settings trying to find something relevant. Pontiac005 mentioned malware. That seems unlikely, but do you think it's possible? I use an antivirus, but I've heard most mobile security is pretty weak. (Also, it seems cars are popular here haha)

Probably! So, why does that wake the phone up? Doesn't it usually turn the screen off? Is there a way to disable when I'm not using the phone (I don't mind it triggering when I'm calling someone, for example, so I don't hit buttons with my face). Thanks!
