Does anyone know which baseband is the most suitable baseband for i9000 in terms of receiving signal? Thanks!

I`ve got my HTC in about 2 years ago and it works well for a month or later, while after a while one slim area (left side)of my phone screen lost respond, i.e. whenever i swipe or roll my fingers towards that section, the phone didn`t react, is this because i`m buying the emulational cell phone...
