So can you switch back to the limited plan right after if you want or do you have to stay unlimited for a certain amount of time to keep the $450 discount?

I still love my Note 8 and don't see enough of a difference to upgrade at this point. By next year I will be ready for something new I imagine. And hi everyone, it's been a while since I have posted on here. Enjoy your note whichever one you have or buy.

No itch for me. I love this phone. My battery life has been like my old iPhones, great. It runs smoothly without hesitation. I love the gazillion ways there are to open it up. And it is saving me money. How? Once I saw the size of this screen I discarded my plans to buy an iPad.:cool:

I've never used a screen protector on this phone. I got a wallet styled case shortly after getting it back in September and it seems to be enough protection for me. I got the iPulse wallet case from amazon, nice leather, magnetic clasps keep it shut tight. My screen is pristine to this day.

Don't feel like I need one after getting the iPulse wallet case. Plenty of protection for the entire phone.

I put a black iPulse wallet case on mine a couple of months ago and haven't changed. I like the way it looks and feels in the hand. It still fits in my jeans pockets too. I don't use it for cash/cards at least not yet. But it gives me confidence of protection for my note 8.

Yeah I have been enjoying this phone after being a mostly iPhone user. It runs buttery smooth, stays cool and the battery life has been iPhone-ish in quality. I like having the google and bixby assistants despite a few hiccups with them from time to time, at least I have the options to use...

That does sound excessive. I lose on average 4-5% overnight say between midnight and 8am. I have my Always On Display turned off between those hours which I think helps a little.

I got this wallet style case from iPulse. It has a nice feel in the hand without a lot of bulkiness. It is somewhat slippery but overall easy to hold onto. Made with genuine leather too. I was thinking about a screen protector but with this case I might not need it. It is rather protective...

Regarding dimness, what I have noticed is if your phone is in a darkened room the display gets very dim. Move it into a lighter environment and watch it get much brighter. It is night here now and my room is darker except for a large screen tv and my computer right beside me..... my phone is...

I've noticed that Bixby is less responsive when I say "hi bixby" or whatever you are supposed to say. She just ignores me half the time instead of the indicator showing she is listening for the next command.

Mine had never felt hot to me and according to my Gsam battery app it has never gone above 92 or 93F. So your 100F temp sounds a bit high to me.

The power button is hard to find but other than that this is my favorite minimalist case so far the the one I have on my phone at the present. I got the blue one which is attractive black and deep blue combo.
