I did the system cache by using recovery mode. I also did try safe mode. Neither worked. Isn't there a "lesser" reset than the full factory reset? I really don't want to go through reloading everything back on my phone. Thanks for your help.

Did that. Status bar still missing on home screen only. Any other options? If I do a simple reset , what will I lose? Thanks for the assistance.

I have lost the status bar and notifications on my home screen. This info still appears on every other screen. This happened shortly after the last update. My wife has same phone and update but hers is still visible. One hour with VZW did not help and all they would suggest is a factory reset...

I concur. This upgrade has ruined some of the most important functions of my phone. The email is slower and much quirkier. I can't switch sound profiles because of the 5.0 data issue. I don't care about the improved graphics, etc. I was told to hope for a patch. I will be patient....up to a point.

Just switched yesterday. I feel like I have lost a long term friend. Mostly, the change is for the better for many reasons. One capability on BB that I can't seem to duplicate on S4 is the sound profile management. I use several emails. On my BB, I would have a different notification for each...
