Hi AC, It sounds like you might be using Battery Saver mode which limits background data. When you leave the iHeartRadio app or your screen turns off background data is disabled. This prevents iHeartRadio from streaming. Learn more by reading our FAQ http://www.iheartradio.com/AndroidBattery...

There were changes made between Android 5.0 and Android 6.0 by Samsung in regards to how restrictive Battery Saver mode was.

This is at the Android OS level. It's not something that we would be able workaround. Even if we could, we'd basically be preventing an OS feature from doing what it was designed to do which is to conserve battery by disabling functionality.

This sounds like it's most likely related to Battery Saver mode. Try disabling it and you should be able to stream without it stopping.
