Lag is indeed apparent when typing on the keyboard sometimes. To reduce further lag on the homescreen, disable the G-page and disable the smart notice widget. Also, switching from dalvik to ART helps slightly.

I had a some network issues as well on my G3. About 2 weeks ago I switched from dalvik to ART and the issues were moslty gone.

Despite having the 805 processor - the G3's 801 is still faster because touchwiz. :)

Thanks! :) I actually have no idea. The tech lab guy said that the connectors to the MB broke off. I figured that if it can happen after 2 years of usage when the phone was made by a machine, it can happen again easily after some guy soldered them together by hand.
