Jorge Did you manage to get the bottom of the issue? I have replaced the battery and it looked good initially until battery dropped to 24% then it does not even charge. Just put it on download mode and it seems charging now. Should I change the USB port too?

Re: Mystery, Reoccuring Notification Sound Can you please check if you get the same ding-dong sound as soon as you attach USB (charging) cable to it? I have just noticed this happens when S3 is charged with 3-rd party cable. this way S3 gets disconnected from charge and connects back randomly...
