I have two issues and a question.

I found a different way to install 4.4 Well I am not sure what I did differentlly. After repeating the steps over and over again I finally got it to work. It got past the sending "system" block. Still my question is, has anyone got the factory image for 4.4 to load?

I have two issues and a question.

To start off with I have a Nexus 7 2012(should be obvious but people do post in the wrong forums at times.) Using Nexus Root Toolkit I went from 4.3 AOKP (nightly) and using "flash stock and unroot" I tried to use the factory image 4.4 from Google's Factory Image page. My Nexus got stuck in...

Trying to forward calls to a Galaxy Nexus without a carrier

Google Voice works through the Data/internet connection. So without data/internet service the phone will not receive the Google voice calls. If connected to Wifi then you will receive them. So "Without wifi that can't happen" unless the "magic" option comes through.

Unrooted my Gnexus by receiving 4.2.2 OTA. Can I reroot??

Sorry for the lack of response. I am rooted but a co-worker with the same phone but completely stock can do it as well. He is not on a shared plan. Click, click, BOOM.

Unrooted my Gnexus by receiving 4.2.2 OTA. Can I reroot??

I just go into the setting menu and turn mobile hotspot on. No extra app needed and I am not paying Verizon a thing.

    Nexus 7 questions

Originally the Nexus 7 was a gift for my aunt to use mostly as an e-reader. But now see wants to sync up her calender and documents to this device. The question is can you sync easily (or at all) to a Mac and get calenders and documents(any documents including ones made with Pages) for the...

    wifi suddenly fried......

I had this problem. I had my phone plugged into a car charger, running Navigation and something else and my phone got extremely hot. The next day my wifi would not turn on. There was no fix. Wifi was done. I ended up having another issue and got my phone replaced.

If you were to leave the Nexus, what phone would you get?

I am not sure I would get a different phone yet but I have not really played with the DNA. Note II is cool. I am pretty happy with having a pretty stable 4.2.1 on my phone. Software is keeping me on the Nexus and not really wanting/needing to change.

    strange problem

I ran into a similar problem with a friends phone. The phone said it was rooted but SU was not installed. I think his problem occurred during the yakju, takju switch(GSM Version). I just returned the phone completely to stock and unroot, locked bootloader with Wuggs. Then started the process...

This phone is only three upgrades behind now

I agree that stating that majority of people don't root, ROM, unlock is possibly correct. You could also state that majority of "those" people don't know, complain, or cry that their phone (verizon, sprint versions) does not get the update as fast as the GSM version. They probably have no clue...

    Are they friggin kidding me?

Nope. Although the black S3 is sexy, I am more than happy with my Nexus running 4.2.1. The software is what makes me want a new phone and since the Galaxy Nexus is first in line, then I am happy. Even if I have to wait a little bit longer until some one make a flashable ROM for the Verizon...

This phone is only three upgrades behind now

Correct me if I am wrong. But below is the basic order of operation. Normal phones: Google comes out with new OS (say 4.2.1) Manufacturer plays with it and/or tweeks it (say GSIII) Then gets sent to carrier(say Verizion) Verizon then does whatever they do. Then the update gets pushed out...

This phone is only three upgrades behind now

I am sick of this. I blame the Nexus since I do not have 4.2.1 and going to get a different phone from Verizon that does. Wait.......there isn't one.
