    Sticking with the Note 7?

Definitely sticking with my Note 7. I've no interest in any other phone on the market unfortunately (including the upcoming LG or Pixel). If... and only if... a second recall is announced (after the investigation of a replaced Note 7 "exploding" on a plane), I'll return it then. At that point...

Anyone considering returning your replacemnet N7??

Not returning. The replacement has actually been smoother in all aspects than my pre-recall Note 7. Also, I'm getting a lot of questions, of late, asking if the "new" Note 7s are available for sale now from friends, coworkers, and complete strangers in coffee shops! It's nice to see that all...

Note 7 - This lag is unfreakingbelievable

Much less lag/stuttering for me than my original Note7. No change in terms of setup or apps - fresh install both times, but still had lag on the first Note. Haven't adjusted animation settings down from 1.0 yet on new one.

New "green battery" Note7 version, extremely slow charging!

So weird. It's the opposite for me. Fast charging seems to be ridiculously fast on the new Note 7. Charged from 34% to full in about 40 mins last night.. which is noticeably faster than normal. Didn't get exceptionally warm either.

Any new problems now with your replacement that you didn't have before?

My new Note 7 has much less lag than my original Note 7/battery life already seems to be stabilized after only a day of use/no other issues. Actually restored from previous backup on new Note 7..with no issues thus far (pleasantly surprised!).

Note 7: I got my replacement! Thread

I'd like to know that too. I'm guessing the green battery icon is perhaps only indicated with either specific retailers/carriers or after a certain build date? It would be nice to have some consistency however. Just picked mine up today from AT&T corporate store. Build date 9/8/16, made in...

For those abandoning Note 7-Why automatically iPhone?

I wouldn't say good riddance to them, but I will agree with those switching to iPhone definitely didn't use any of the features of the Note (and don't care to use them either). The Note series has far more features than the iPhone will and has had.

For those abandoning Note 7-Why automatically iPhone?

Good question. There's nothing in the current iPhone model that would inspire me to lean that way. That's not me being an apple/iPhone hater.. I can appreciate some aspects of iOS without bias. But feature wise, there isn't anything I want there really.

Only 18% are going back to the Note7

I'm not sure if Samsung's hardcore fans would need a 50% discount off a future phone to remain loyal. It would be totally nice, but not necessary. To be fair, I am *not* a hardcore Samsung fan.. what I am is a huge fan of the Note series/sPen functionality. It might sound awful to say, but were...

    Jumped ship -- Coming back?

Yea. There's folks who simply don't know (and don't want to know) and then there's "none so blind as those who will not see." To be fair, the Android OS is generally less smooth and consumes a high % of battery than it should in my opinion (particularly in standby/sleep mode), but the actual...

    Jumped ship -- Coming back?

You weren't quoting me directly, but I'll add my two cents. About the only three things the iPhone (at this point) has going for it year after year is slightly better battery life, smoothness, and app optimization. The app optimization is the reason I use an iPad for my casual/fun use. App...

    Jumped ship -- Coming back?

Love this point. Thanks. [Some] people are fickle creatures I suppose... And others are blindingly loyal. Somewhere in-between seems like a good habit!

    Jumped ship -- Coming back?

Yep.. Although there are some users that apparently had/have "0" lag with the Note 7, there were many that did (including myself). I resorted back to my Note 5 in the last couple of weeks due to the recall (and will re-purchasing the Note 7 once it hits retail soon), and I can attest that my...

    Jumped ship -- Coming back?

Yea.. To call the iPhone boring is a bit overdramatic in my opinion. That said , for me, I do enjoy more flexibility in customization/widget use which the android ecosystem provides.. Mostly because I actually don't like my home screens/additional screens to be cluttered at all. I rely solely on...

are you leaving the Note 7? if so, where are you going?

Still not leaving the Note 7. I'm fortunate to have my Note 5 that I've started using again in the interim, but there's several features from the Note 7 I'm missing quite a bit. I'm anxious for Note 7s to be released again for exchange/sale. No phone I'm thinking of purchasing mostly because I...
