I would suggest a new Verizon store, that one could be selling "New" used phones that others have returned. It happened to someone else on this forum, the phone still had contacts in it when he got it.

If someone who has ChompSMS could clarify a few features. It looks good but I want to be sure it has certian features before I make the jump. Does chomp sms reliably resend an sms when you get back in cell range (IE you send a txt outside of tower range, and it will when it gets back in...

It is the same with dolphin. Long press and a wheel will popup, move to "Picture" then there is an option to save it

The speak to txt is the same on the droid (software wise), there are apps to enable it for everything...no real new features the N1 has over the droid

I had a pre and all this is true x10. Especially the no app support! You can download Dolphin Browser to get the features you described.

ChompSMS loses msgs too: Missing Texts or no notification - chompSMS Personally I love Hancent and haven't had any problems with missing txts
