what to install for best functionality RIGHT NOW?

Why would I want to run something else for myself? It's not entirely clear to me what I get running, say, Froyo that I can't do with rooted stock. (Sorry if these are dumb questions. I've read the stickies but didn't find this information.)

what to install for best functionality RIGHT NOW?

I know exactly what you mean, yes :) Although getting my daughter exposed to the joy of hacking early would be a nice benefit.... So is this the best place to go? http://forum.androidcentral.com/barnes-noble-nook-color/66748-how-return-your-nook-color-1-1-0-stock-re-root.html

Installed Honeycomb, only sees 1GB of internal memory

Hey all! I installed Honeycomb to my NC last night for the first time. Most things are running ok, but I noticed that Honeycomb thinks I've only got 1GB of internal memory in total (0.92GB to be exact). Shouldn't the NC have 8GB internal? Did I do something wrong? Any suggestions will be...

[HOW-TO] Flashable Zip: Install Honeycomb to Internal Memory (eMMC) of Nook Color

Just installed and stuff seems to be working well. One question: under Settings->Storage->Internal Storage only 0.92GB shows for total space. Shouldn't the NC have a lot more than that? Thanks for all the awesome work!
