I'm in the same boat. I've pre-ordered every Note since the Note 2. This Note 10+ is awesome. (I did run into a headphone jack situation today though :-[ but I managed.) This is also my first unlocked Note and I'm not going back to the Verizon model.

I believe the free gifts are through Samsung Promotions and not through Verizon.

Try to uninstall again and when that message pops up click (manage phone administrators). Now you can turn trusted devices off as a device administrator. Once that is done, you can now uninstall the app. And you should see the (none) and (swipe) options can now be selected as lock screen choices.

What I do is save to scrapbook then share from there. You can even select multiple pics to send at a time.

Smart switch is the way to go. If you have an icloud account setup just back everything up to that and use smart switch to pull it over. If not, you will have to plug your iPhone into the Note through an otg cable (make sure you have more than 50% battery on the note though).
