I did see the video for unlocking bootloader for sprint htc one on youtube, but it wasn't jellybean 4.3

I have a sprint htc one and it has the newest jellybean 4.3, can i still unlock the bootloader and root it? I see a lot of instructions on the web as how to do it, but nobody said anything about either the Sprint htc one new 4.3 jellybean bootloader can be unlocked or not. I am new to this...

really nobody know? i thought i was one of a few that didn't know!
