    Try turning off power saver. Works with Android auto. So no reason it won't work with maps.

    I have also found that you need to turn off Power saver and turn Android Auto & Maps to NOT optimized to get GPS tracking working properly.

    Try this. worked for me. Just uninstal updates via google play, then connect phone in car and let it update.
