Oreo is #1 on my list. I've been expecting them to name it that for quite a while.

There are tutorials on XDA where they show you how to enable disabled bands on certain phones.

IMEI change shouldn't be a problem if done by an authorized repair shop. Since your IMEI is 0, I'd say it might have issues with getting updates. If you haven't already, try updating the phone through OTA to the January security patch. Otherwise wait for the Feb patch. If the OTA doesn't work...

I'd personally go with the Huawei watch. However, Android Wear 2.0 is just around the corner and it's sure to introduce some new watches if you're not bothered by waiting.
