Ok, just noticed the built in WiFi tether does support WPA2. Guess I'll just uninstall the old Wireless Tether.

Hi all, The default ROM seems to let you use WPA for securing the connection with WiFi Tether 2.0.7, but after installing CyanogenMod 7 it only lets me choose WEP. Any way to fix that? Thanks

Ok, I had to use fastboot and install recovery.img. Now recovery seems to work as expected from the boot loader menu. Lots of Android docs are written in shorthand, expecting you to know what's what.

For those getting a file not found error with md5sum on the permanent root instructions, try using "busybox" in front of it, as in: busybox md5sum /some/file/path

Anyone have a good guide to flashing ROMS/Kernels? All the docs I find online seem to point to recovery mode (red triangle and exclamation mark) or ROM manages that don't seem to want to do anything unless I buy a different version. Thanks.

StAlphonso, it say read only file system when I try to delete those files, even after temp rooting. Tried bot local shell using connectbot and adb shell. What am I missing? Thanks
