It works fine on my V30. I'm also running with Oreo. I'm sure others would agree. I would also think twice before going to the dark side. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

It depends on the update you received. It was mostly an issue with the beta version for Oreo. The latest update cleared up that issue. If you don't have any updates pending or incoming, I would use a different launcher besides the default to avoid the issue.

That's definitely a defective unit. I would just go & exchange it. Before you accept the exchange, just do the same visual inspection. The display on the phone is pretty solid. I have had mine since day one & no issues to report. It's just a smaller version of their award winning OLED TV screens.
