This is what works for me as well. For some reason if you just say "open waze" it interprets that as "open ways" and doesn't know what to do with that. "Open Waze App" almost always works though.

It works for me at Walmart (sort of) but it can be glitchy. My AMEX card won't work there, my bank card does. The bank card sometimes requires multiple attempts as it doesn't seem to read right from time to time.
