I believe it is finally working for me. The problem is that I didn't do anything to get it to work. Which doesn't help anyone else. Sorry about that. I have on body detection, face unlock, and three locations for trusted places. I've left my phone sorting down at my house charging, picked it up...

I updated Maps yesterday and I believe smart lock is now working. I also added a completely different address that is several miles from my home address and work, so I don't think that's what has caused it to work now. Just my observation.

From what I have read this is definitely a bug of Google play services. It might be related to the introduction of this new feature of keeping the phone unlocked while in hand.

Did same thing. Added my work location and it works fine, but my home address is not working. I've tried just about all previously mentioned suggestions.
