How do I permanently remove disabled apps?

No extra workaround needed, it can be uninstalled normally through adb like the other "system" apps. Though it can cause problems if chrome is selected as the default webview implementation. If there is no webview implementation available, most apps will crash. But most phones will default to...

How do I permanently remove disabled apps?

No, unless you use these apps. Most of the Samsung apps are bloat and can be removed without problems. Even the apps like dialer, clock, etc. can be removed and replaced with better alternatives.

How do I permanently remove disabled apps?

@marthaHoopkins1976 It usually doesn't result in brick unless you uninstall critical system apps like system UI, dialer, launcher, etc, so it should be safe for the apps you mentioned (because they are just useless bloat/spyware). And if it gets bricked, you will need to go to recovery mode and...

How do I permanently remove disabled apps?

You can never completely remove those apps without root or a custom ROM. You can just disable them, that will atleast stop them from spying on you and running in the background (i.e taking up your RAM). Also, if you haven't done this already, uninstall updates for the disabled apps. Another one...

Using mechanical system alongside charger to charge battery

And how will this scientifically work? You're saying this will work the same way as to how hydroelectricity is generated? We already have power banks for the purpose you said.

Question Problems using Android for Navigation - Popups

Yes, those are definitely ads, and they are caused by adware (malware which displays unwanted pop-up ads) like @B.Diddy said. Adware usually can't be detected by antivirus, except for some famous adware like Mobidash. If you have any "Cleaner" app(s) installed, remove them to get rid of these...

    Question I can't access storage/Android/data

It's because you updated to Android 11. It no longer allows you to view Android/data directory without root/shizuku access. If it doesn't work with shizuku then try to cd into the directory with ADB. adb shell cd /sdcard/Android/data ls

Come September 2026, are you sticking with Android

Does this mean that the sideloading block won't affect me if I'm using vanilla AOSP or microG? I haven't been using GApps for over 2 years now, and whenever I get a new phone I remove GP services first. I use microG though. Google play services is literally is a trojan horse virus. It spies on...

Come September 2026, are you sticking with Android

Just wanted to say that this is exclusively a windows thing. Linux doesn't need "drivers". It detects all drivers automatically, as all the drivers are in the kernel itself. So you don't need to install them manually. Same goes for macOS.

Come September 2026, are you sticking with Android

I'm not sure what you mean by "constant maintenence". I have been using Linux Mint for 4 years now, and I barely pay any attention to the system itself. I mostly do web browsing, programming on android studio, using some CLI tools and gaming in DOSBox. I install the updates only once in a week...

Question Contextual pop-up menu is white in dark mode app

Is your phone itself in dark mode? The menu is provided by "android.ext.services" package, which is a part of AOSP. So you can't send "feedback" to anybody about this. It's a bug in AOSP.

Come September 2026, are you sticking with Android

I hate google, but I have this much trust in them that they would never do this. And they actually CAN'T do this since android itself is FOSS. They even confirmed that AOSP is NOT going away. But if they do it, I will do one of these 2 things: 1. Don't update to the then-latest android version...
