I was having the same issue with my dad's galaxy s7. I have a galaxy s6 edge and the yahoo mail app works perfectly with the free version of 'office suite + pdf editor', and I don't know why I didn't try this first, so I downloaded the app on his phone and it worked perfectly. Hope this info...
