With my S6, I also shut it off on my breaks and lunches. I would get texts shortly after turning it off and the received message would say 2:38pm. My phone would be turned on roughly by 3:35pm. I'm not saying it's not functioning like it's supposed to - it was just nicer than seeing a text say...

I have a Samsung S7. When I'm at work, I turn my phone off and then turn it back on during breaks and lunches. Messenger will show the original time a message was sent, but text message will not. Is there a way to change that so I can see when the message was actually sent? My S6 used to show me...
