Cheers for the advice, I'll look into it. It's still under warranty so going to go into the shop tonight and see if they'll repair under the warranty (I'm not holding out much hope for that mind...), if not I'll look more into repairing it.

Hi Tardus, I didn't realise that was what the white dot is - however it is still white. I really need to get an Ottorbox case, never dropped my old Galaxy S3, but this phone seems to slip out of my hand so easily.

Re: mcafee question? Did you activate the app? If you didn't, it shouldn't be running from what I remember. However, if you have activated you need to go into your McAfee account settings via a web browser and de-activate the app on your phone from there. I did it 10 months ago now so apologies...

I've just updated to the most recent update that came through tonight, and QuickRemote is still there for me.

I wonder then if Vodafone have delayed the update. The last update I had was last month and it was only ~25mb.

Strange, I'm a UK user and haven't had an update? (have just double checked, too). I'm on Vodafone, are you on a different carrier and it's possibly carrier related? Coincidentally, my phone has been playing up over the past 48 hours. Un-mounting my SD Card, not connecting to my computer...

I use "Sync ME". It does the job. You need to switch off birthday notifications and a few other things when you first start up though, otherwise you're bombarded with annoying notifications.

Do you mean a switch on the phones screen or a physical switch on the headphones?

I'd noticed this too -assumed the 3rd ring was for the microphone (as I only have earphones with mic's on them) so hadn't mentioned it. Presume this is where the issue stems from though.
