Thanks much.. I have root explorer... and advice on ROMs? Looking for something pretty simple until CM is stable.

Looks to be working... just cleared the cache... I still have to reactivate it on my VZW account. Going to make sure it doesnt cut off on me again first..

RGR that, was waiting on stable CyanogenMod... didnt know they'd go ahead and force the update - have been denying it for weeks... been surviving on my Droid I with an old Cyanogen until I get the time to fix the phone...

Thanks, I went into recovery, but wasnt sure what do since I blew away my backup quite some time ago.. didnt realize clearing the cache would do that - but then again i'm a droid newb.

Negative, I can blame Verizon as I neither asked for nor okayed them putting new software on the phone I purchased. Also, why should I have to root my phone and install obscure software in order to prevent them from pushing patches to my it. Apple and Microsoft nor Verizon (FIOS) do not force...

So I got the OTA force last night, and woke up to find the attached lovely screen... I have an idea of what to do to restore my device, but before I ruin it completely I wanted to run it by the group here. It was rooted with the stock ROM. Please help! --Jon
