umm guys.... it DOES act as a notification led with ALL ROMs and updates, just go to setting/sound and display and check LED notification! (this was the 1st thing i found when i bought it!)

well i'd guess that if you you switch from 1.5 to 2.1 or vice versa that should do it..not sure bout the downgrade but i know if u upgrade from cupcake (1.5) you will lose root (but if your trying to regain your warranty im quite positive they can still tell its been tampered with) HOPE THIS HELPS!
