Something is really sucking up the space here. There are apps in the play store that you can use to find space hogs - if it were me, that's what I would try next.

I doubt that using an S4 screen would work. There are places that can replace broken screens - I used one in the past with my S5. It only took about an hour, if I recall correctly. If it were my phone, I would start by looking into that.

Yeah, mine too. Would have been nice if they had offered to download later when I got home and was on WiFi, but it was about 80% done by the time I noticed that it was doing this. Back on the charger it goes.

That's not the Oreo update - that's just a vanilla security update, and I already have it. I just checked - nothing available now for me for Oreo. But as others have noted, Verizon sends these out in batches.

Sometimes the updates cause more problems than they solve. That's how it was with the old S5 I had. Each update seemed to use up a bit more storage, and used up a bit more RAM, and gradually the phone got slower and slower.
