I'm in Seaford. I just want data fast enough to stream video, even during peak hours. VZW has the 4G LTE advantage (in Nassau at least), but that Note is tempting me. If AT&T is fast enough, then why not? I'd be paying a $350 ETF to get off of Sprint. Absolutely absurd, but I say it's better...

Anybody have AT&T on Long Island? I'm curious what the average data speeds are. I'm thinking about making the switch from Sprint to AT&T for the Galaxy Note. Sprint data is literally unusable on Long Island. My last 5 speed tests with Sprint: 0.04 Mbps 0.42 Mbps 0.08 Mbps 0.09 Mbps 0.42 Mbps...

Ditto with go launcher. No decrease in battery life that I could detect. Now if only go launcher could get rid of the annoying gap at the top of the screen. Even when you disable the page indicator the gap is still there and widgets don't align to the top edge of the screen :(

Love it more now that I discovered aftermarket launchers. Although two times now the phone has decided to stay awake despite the screen being off which has drained my battery exponentially. No details on what's causing it other than "Android OS" :(

Download "No Lock". Gets rid of the lock screen. I don't even understand what the lock screen is for. Is it to prevent butt dialing when the phone is in your pocket? Considering the only way to turn this phone on is that tiny button on the side, which requires a decent amount of pressure to do...

I'm also using Go Launcher EX. Only thing I don't like about it is that when you disable the "screen indicator" bars on top of the screen, they still take up that space, and widgets don't align with the top edge of the screen. Otherwise it's much better than TouchWiz, which is saying a lot...

I found GO SMS Pro to have a much nicer UI, especially with all the themes they have. And the recent updates have made everything much more polished. The future world theme is amazing. =]

What was so unified about the look and feel? Once you start downloading aftermarket apps the unified look and feel goes bye bye.

Does anyone know when you choose to use a wide (scrollable) wallpaper, it cuts off the top and bottom of it and kind of zooms in? When you set it to non-scroll (480px wide), it becomes full height again. I don't understand it.

This. I was a die hard Pre fan (launch day buyer), but this phone just blows it away in terms of pretty much everything. OP, I'd highly recommend using Go SMS Pro as your text messaging application. It is super customizable and does much more than the Pre messenger could ever do.

What does Sprint do with returned phones anyway? Surely they can't sell them as new?

Ugghhh, I did the exact same thing with my Palm Pre. Terrible feeling!

Is there any way to rename apps? Something like "Dolphin Browser HD" gets cut off when you put it on the home screen, and it looks especially ugly when you put it on the main launcher bar.
