I went into settings, accounts, and removed my google account, opened the play store and signed back in and it worked fine. Thanks

I have the Play store installed, but keep getting the error :Error retreiving information from the server. when i try and download an app.

Im wonder the same thing, im making that switch at the end of the month. But, i use google voice, and it lets you import all of your contacts for backup, and from what i understand is google voice comes in 2.1 android, so that may be the answer, im not sure about any other way though
