No one knows for sure. It's rolling out now in Poland and parts of Europe. The buzz on the street is that it will most likely arrive sometime in the month of January, unless you're a Verizon customer. For some reason, I'm told they will get it a little later.

I have a Moto 360 and love it, but wanted to try Tizen and use a watch that didn't necessarily need to be tethered to my phone. The Gear S is beautiful. The screen is amazing and it's lighter than I thought. I could hardly feel it after a day of use. Yes, it is bigger than any other smartwatch...

I mean no disrespect, and I hope that this will be taken in the humorous spirit with which it was intended, but I have to chuckle whenever I hear someone laud their battery life while describing how they have turned off nearly every feature on the phone. It's like saying, "My BMW looks as new...
