Hey this is James here to help I had this problem kinda too and the solution is that you need to get Google now launcher because it simply Is much faster and Samsung's touch Wiz is very slow and doesn't always respond i've been using Google now launcher ever since I got it's just better and easier

Hey to turn off the lock screen on a Samsung you need to simply: go to setting> lock screen and security> screen lock type> none hope it helps please reply
