If it's not under warranty buy their maintenance contract for around $19 per month. Get a new phone and than cancel the contract.

Re: Kies will not recognize my Galaxy S3 I tried several of the solutions here but none worked. I spent 3 hours on the phone with AT&T tech support and the only solution was to send the phone in and get a refurb. I got the refurb and as soon as I plugged it in it was recognized.
