Can anyone recommend a photo editor, for things like cropping, etc. that works well on the Essential?

Doesn't that block the camera since the leather wallet is not fitted for Essential, but just any phone?

Nope. I'm familiar with the patch issue whereby you place your finger on the sensor and it causes the phone to lock up too...not doing that. I'm at a loss. I will send this back for another try.

I received a Launcher3 error yesterday and the problems got worse and worse to a point where I almost could not use the phone. I followed troubleshooting for that and it helped a little, but still had issues. Then with the phone freezing and failing to launch anything, I did the factory reset...

Just now I'm literally scrolling pics on Facebook using chrome and it freezes. I hit home, nothing. I hit the power button, nothing. Finally it closes chrome because it crashes. Really? Perhaps I'll try a replacement from Amazon before I give up?

I would be wary. I took the leap and got one from Amazon Saturday. My most recent update is dated Oct 5 and it's still not just touch, but also freezing issues. I've had it freeze on me for more than a second today twice while just texting.

Yeah I don't play games in this phone. I simply was texting. Nothing that would tax the system. I've used htc phones the past four years. I try and support the little guys but the little guys are forcing me to get a pixel 2

I'll give it another week. If I can't use my signal app or other basics without it freezing or not sensing my touch input, it goes back. Imagine how bad that will be after two years.
