I purchased one for my dad to replace his aging Iphone 4. The size and quality are really good for the price. We've had a couple of issues. First, the signal is very low (at least the bars are). It shows no bars in places where other phones get 2-3 bars. But he hasn't had any reception issues...

I got the gun metal M8 (Verizon) that I got on launch day. My LED works great for everything (hangouts, gmail, etc.). Ditto on it being bright and viewable from wide angles. My only complaint is that it stops flashing after 5 min.

Picked mine up at Verizon today at 1pm. I got there about 12:56 and they actually made me wait until 1pm to sell the phone.. weird... at 1pm the guy opened a drawer and there was about 20 grey and 20 silver models. The silver didn't seem to have the brushed texture pattern like the gun metal...

NO!!! To me the volumes are much software after 4.3. I can barely hear my notifications now. I am forced to restart the phone about once a day to get the volume back up! My biggest complaint so far about 4.3.

I was having this problem before the update. I figured the update would fix it. Also had a big problem where my txt/hangout notifications would disappear after being on silent/bluetooth/assist.

also, try Verizon's messages app.. it's pretty good and includes iphone emojis

Yeah... your sim has to be provisioned for LTE... it won't just pickup the signal in an LTE device.

I've only seen LTE on mine so far
