Verizon G2 Qpair Verizon G2 Qpair

Does the data tethering work? I've returned my G Pad, but I'm wondering if LG and Verizon decided to be more reasonable and remove the block.

LG G Pad 8.3 - SD card issue?

Re: SD card issue? Edited to add: Wow. This thread really got thread-jacked. You guys need to take your SD card pricing banter elsewhere. I returned my G Pad. It worked fine with a 16gb Samsung microsd. However, with a 64gb Samsung, it would claim it was removed and inserted every few...

    QuickRemote

I just found this as well: [APP] QuickRemote IR Blaster for AOSP roms - xda-developers Someone there claims that quicksetsdk.apk downloads the model list at run time. So, who knows what'll happen if you load the G2 versions of one or both.

Sounds good. If you find you need any other files, let me know and I'll upload them. I'm interested to see if the learning feature from the G2 works on the G Pad as well.

QPair is crippled with the Verizon G2

I tried Cyanogenmod and qpair still would not allow tethering. I'm not sure what it checks for permission. I have no problem tethering with the stock rom with the stock tethering utility, as my plan includes tethering. I'll try clean rom, but I don't have high hopes for different results. ETA...

    LG G Pad 8.3 Hands-On

There is also the LG-V507L. I think most were speculating that the L stands for LTE.

    QuickRemote

I'm strongly considering returning the tablet, and I haven't been able to confirm if I can get back to stock if I root, so I'm not able to do that. When I get home, I can upload the APK somewhere if you want to try it. It is 160mb for some reason. I think LG's IR blaster is interfaced in a...

QPair is crippled with the Verizon G2

The lag shows up in the included web browser when scrolling, and in the app drawer.

QPair is crippled with the Verizon G2

My phone is rooted, though I don't need third party tethering hacks because my plan includes tethering. I can use the included wifi hotspot without an issue. My problem is that I can't tether from the tablet with one click because LG and Verizon decided it was too convenient to allow me to use...

    QuickRemote

I think jaime1822 is referencing the QuickRemote app on the LG G2, not the G Pad. I just bought a G Pad, and it only has the very limited options for TVs and Cable Boxes. The G2 has much more, and has a learn mode. I tried extracting the APK from the G2, but when I try to install it on the G...

QPair is crippled with the Verizon G2

One of the reasons I picked up this tablet over others is the QPair feature, to send and receive SMS, get call notifications, and tether data from my phone with a single click from the tablet. I assumed all of this would work easily, since my phone is an LG G2. It's the Verizon VS980 variant...

    LG G Pad 8.3 Hands-On

If you're worried about a price drop, just use a credit card with price protection for 90 days, like Discover: https://www.discover.com/credit-cards/help-center/faqs/price-protection.html If there's a rebate instead of an MSRP drop, you'll be out of luck even with price protection.
