I did the EXACT same thing. I went on Feb. 13th and signed up for VZW and got a Dinc. I pre-ordered the phone on the 8th, but i needed to switch carriers so i made sure i could swap out when the TB comes out. They said after 14 days i would be locked in the contract, but i can exchange the phone...

Just got a call from the bb i ordered it from. they said its march 4th. and she said verizon said it was pretty much official but they do reserve the right to change that blah blah blah.... we will see

Yeah thats true. especially since i have 30 days to exchange out my Dinc which i bought the 13th. So this phone better come out by the 13th of March.

I just got a call from BB. he said "thank you for pre-ordering the htc thunderbolt. The release date was moved back by verizon from the 24th to the 28th" I got the message on my Google Voice.

the best buy i pre-ordered at here in vegas said the 24th tentatively. he really emphasized the tentatively part.

i just switched to vzw at best buy on the 13th and i pre-ordered the tb and got a dinc to use in the meantime. they have a 30 day return on the phones and said as long as the thunderbolt comes out within 30 days of the 13th i will just pay the difference.

My friend works at a Verizon and said they have the thunderbolts in stock and sent me this picture of the dummy. she said the 24th for sure.
