Is this normal when I switch to the front cam?

I have a question about the front camera... when I want to take a selfie... I see a thick blurry white band around a square of my face... is that normal? I took a screenshot... but can't post it here...

i have the phone a few months now.. it's a good phone at a good price. battery last for more then a day, no heating, no slow down. Notifications on lockscreen only work with stock launcher, not with another installed launcher.
