I'm simply trying to get rid of the thing. It's a nuisance and I'm not aware of how it got there. it blocks the screen when I touch that right side.

maybe I wasn't clear.....it isn't a sidebar, it covers the page and I can't open anything except to click on one of those icons or go back. those are the choices. I really appreciate your attempts, tho', thanks! the screen shot above on a previous message shows it's the whole page that is dark...

no, theyre icons of facebook, instagram, Twitter and chrome.....as shown in the screen shot above. turning the page you get video clips, like from youtube. left side bottom corner are ads in page- like form.

I followed the prompts for the j3, twice in fact, got the same bothersome problem, tried shutting of safe mode but I couldn't find it.....nowhere was this stated. So I don't even know if I am or ever were in "safe mode"! beyond frustrating.

trying to get rid of thumbnails or popups on phone. Whenever I get on the phone, just touching the right side of screen brings these annoying pop ups up. If you hit the plus sign on the bottom of them they'll show video snaps.

On right side of phone these small videos show up upon touching screen.
