That directory is not hidden, nor is it encrypted. You can access it with Samsung's My Files app and drop any .mobi file into it.

I use Kingsoft Office (now WPS Office) very simple to use including the 0P's original question.

Your books are under /sdcard/Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files and unfortunately, there is no to change this.
