My atrix 4g will not root. I've download all of the sdk's and drivers, but it just won't root. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

USB debugging has been off. And nothing. And I wanted to put a custom rom on it, but in order to do that, it would have to be able to sync with the pc. We've tried different cables. I'm starting to think it's just her phone.

She isn't running a ROM. She's still on stock.

My friend has an Optimus V and when you plug it into the pc, it'll charge but won't connect so she can mount the phone. I've tried many different things to try to figure out the problem, and have resorted to asking here. I also have a V and using the same cable and computer mine WILL mount...

I wouldn't mind winning this. Haha
