Looking for kyocera echo Recovery Rom.

Thanks to the guys over at the Hear the Echo forums. The one-click root worked like a charm and a clockwork recovery is currently in beta. The Echo may have some legs for a little while longer. I'll be interested to see what they can do with making a new ROM. J

    EoL

Or it doesn't have a bootloader....at any rate, Kyocera said they weren't going to be helping out the mod community any.

    EoL

It must of had some really miserable sales. I wonder if it would have done any better if it had been released with GB already on it?

    EoL

I did ask Kyocera a few days ago if they would ever support an unlocked boot loader and I got a reply from support that said 'No'. So I don't think there will be any further love from Kyocera.

    Is this phone worth it?

I'm a student, though about twice the age of the typical freshmen :p. At any rate, in my classes they use power points for the lectures. I download them on my phone transcribe my notes from there. The ability for the Echo to sit on a desk like a mini computer is invaluable for this. I have...

    Skinomi TechSkin Carbon Fiber

It's pretty sticky, and you use a hair dryer (or heat gun) to help it adhere better. I don't think it would leave a residue, at least not something that couldn't been cleaned off. BTW, the skin is still holding up really well.

    Skinomi TechSkin Carbon Fiber

Hey all, A week or two ago I posted about some pseudo carbon fiber skin protector for the Echo. Well, I purchased one from a company called Skinomi: Skinomi TechSkin - Kyocera Echo Carbon Fiber Skin Protector I was a little hesitant as all other skins I've used work great on the screen, but...

    Random shutdowns?

Prior to the Gingerbread update if I enabled roaming I would get frequent random reboots. As soon as I set it to Sprint Only network the reboots went away.

    best themes / Widgets

I'm a fan of Launcher Pro, been using it since my rooted Hero (which was running Gingerbread long before the Echo). If you pay for the app it comes with various widgets such as calendar, facebook, twitter, friends, etc... Very reminiscent of the widgets used in HTC's Sense UI. There are a ton...

Mine is running like a champ. Though I can't say I have see any significant battery life changes like other users have.

    Protective casing / scratch protection?

The nice thing with a screen protectors like Invisishield or Bodyguardz is that they really help reduce screen smudging and do not reduce the touch sensitivity. True they take a lot of patience to get them installed right, but are well worth it. I used them for both my Hero and my Echo. Also...

craigslist echo has different colored screens?

During all of August you can add insurance to any phone even if it is outside the 30 day window.

    Gingerbread installed today!

So, apparently the Sprint store I was going to is not an actual Sprint store, according to Sprint the store is 'Sprint Store by Wireless Lifestyle'. However, going there you would never know it, it looks like every other Sprint store. I don't know if this fact has any correlation to the poor...

There is a small discussion over on XDA, Jamin has been trying to get a Clockwork recovery going, but I'm not sure he is having much luck. [System Dump] Kyocera Echo System Dump - xda-developers
