I've had mine since the beginning of the year and haven't been using a case. I'm naturally pretty careful about things, so I haven't dropped it yet.

+1 for Google Keep if you're looking for a simple note/list app. The widget is especially handy for viewing and quickly creating notes by typing and voice.

As others have mentioned, there's no built-in Trusted Wifi devices. However, I've been using SkipLock and have found it to be very convenient.
