This worked perfectly for me! I just picked up a Galaxy S9 plus and as soon as I connect it to my 2015 Subaru Outback it would tell me Mirrorlink was enabled and I couldn't do anything with the phone...but the Mirrorlink icon on my car is always grayed/greyed out. May need an update for my car...
