Things that can fix this problem are unplugging and plugging in the phone into a wall ac adapter. The USB chargers usually charge slow. But since you did all of that I would suspect a faulty battery. I could definitely be wrong though.

On the phone there should be an Android > data > com.android.calendar folder but there's nothing useful in there. You have to be able to get it off somehow but I can't think of how to do it.

Yea, can't explain that. If it still functions this way after you restart the phone then there is a problem with your phone. I know for sure your device works on Tiny flashlight and my flashlight. A restart should reset any settings on the camera that might have gotten messed up.

Is the network access required for ads or something?

I can confirm. Been messing around developing a flashlight app and the way android works with all of these devices sure is a pain. You shouldn't have to ever reboot if the application is designed well, but usually doing so will solve the problem.

Why does this app need network access?
