[Closed] Win an AT&T HTC One X+ (US only)

I wouldn't mind winning one, since my Nexus 4 disappeared from my cart a few dozen times the other morning, and all I got was a lousy bumper!

    Google Nexus 4 on TMo

That really depends on the coverage and congestion in your area. I switched from T-Mobile to Straight Talk because there were too many places where my speed was too slow to use, or I wouldn't get signal at all.

    DInc as Media Player

Maybe try something like Locale, and just set it to keep everything but wifi and bluetooth off. You may also want to use a kernel that supports undervolting.

    I'm Depressed!

happens, then you move on. If anything happened to my Nexus 7, sure I'd be bummed too, but I wouldn't let it ruin my day. Ultimately, it's a toy. I'm going to assume that everything is backed up to the cloud somewhere, so no real data has been lost. So maybe it will be a little while before you...

When do you think Google will stop updating the Galaxy Nexus?

I'm guessing it's going to be quite a while before Google drops support for the GNex. And it's going to be even longer before the community stops developing for it. I wouldn't be surprised if we're still seeing new ROMs three years from now.

What happened to the notification light?

Try installing Light Flow and see if you get notifications. Despite sounding like a type of tampon, it's an excellent notification light tool.

    White version?

The Nexus 4 is easily one of the most beautiful and well designed Android phones to date. Just because it shares a few similarities to the iPhone, doesn't mean it is an iPhone. Jony Ives' iPhone designs were heavily inspired by Dieter Rams work at Braun in the 70s, and his ten principles of...

Is Google moving forward of backward with their Nexus devices?

Every Nexus device that Google has released has moved the entire Android ecosystem forward by leaps and bounds. These are unlocked phones, meaning anybody who owns one can easily get an unlimited data plan for $30. I opted for the $45 unlimited plan through Straight Talk, because it included...

    Only charges while turned off

I had the same problem, turned out the USB cable I was using was from a Blackberry. I don't even know where it came from, I've never owned a Blackberry. I think a co-worker may have "borrowed" it from my desk and returned the wrong one. Switched to the cable that came with my GNex and it charges...

I have a Nexus 4, you have questions. Fire away.

I noticed it sparkles in the sun. Is it a vampire?

    Are screen protectors really necessary?

Screen protectors definitely aren't necessary, but neither is health insurance, until something happens where you need it. I've had dozens of devices that I ran naked, no cases, no screen protectors, and nothing ever happened. Then one day, the tiniest bit of sand was in my pocket from a trip to...

Should I get this tablet? Hoping for some help from the community

This should be a no brainer. The N10 is pure Android, plus it's faster, cheaper, and has a better display that the Galaxy Note 10.1 or the Transformer. Once you go Nexus, I promise you that you'll never consider any "skinned" device. Google really sets high standards for their Nexus line.

So the Nexus 4 just killed the Optimus G. Why is LG eating itself?

I wouldn't say LG is eating itself at all. If anything, I think it's a great idea to have a Nexus 4 and Optimus G on the market. The Nexus brand carriers with it the idea of bleeding edge updates, pure Android, an unlockable bootloader, etc. It's generally considered an enthusiasts phone. The...
