Go to Settings. Scroll down to Accessibility and open it. Scroll down to Notification reminder and open it. Slide the slider at the top of the page to Off. (this was also mentioned in an earlier post) Alternately leave it on and turn off all the notification reminders (ie Facebook etc)...
