'Disabling' instead of 'Uninstalling' bloatware using ADB

Oh, so basically I just simply type "disable" instead of "uninstall", right? Thank you for your response. :)

Samsung Galaxy S7 Bloatware and System Apps that are safe to remove

Sorry for bumping this, but I would really appreciate it if you could redirect me to an updated list of system apps that are not only safe to uninstall but also don't harm the phone's battery or ram consumption. Thank you very much. :)

'Disabling' instead of 'Uninstalling' bloatware using ADB

Last bump. If possible, please move this to the appropriate section. Thank you. :)

'Disabling' instead of 'Uninstalling' bloatware using ADB

Sorry, I was referring to the apps with a greyed out 'Disable' option. e.g., Email, Music, Video, Gallery, etc. Thank you for your response though. :)

'Disabling' instead of 'Uninstalling' bloatware using ADB

I've been getting rid of bloatware from my Samsung Galaxy phones using ADB and it works fine. e.g., pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.email However, is there any command to "disable" the app, instead of "uninstalling" it, so that I can re-enable it later if I change my mind? Also, I...

How resilient to scratches is an S8's screen?

Thank you, that was very insightful. :) And as far as wiping the screen with, say, the t-shirt one currently wears instead of screen wipes, that should be fine, right? Meaning, there would need to be sand or other equivalent particles on the t-shirt's fabric to harm the screen.

How resilient to scratches is an S8's screen?

Oh sorry, haha, I'm not so tech savvy, unfortunately. So, basically, if something as hard as keys and coins won't scratch the phone's screen, it is rather first impressions aesthetics for smartphones to ship with these slim silicone screen protectors that the companies box them with, isn't it...

How resilient to scratches is an S8's screen?

Hey everyone, I watched this video and the guy in it says that keys and coins wouldn't scratch an S8's screen, which seems rather strange to me as I wouldn't expect a smartphone's screen to be that resilient. The guy only scraches it for a few seconds. I'd like to know what should I expect in...

Charging an S8+ with an older genuine Samsung charger

Thank you for responding to me. :) Any estimate on how much time it takes to fully charge with the A3/non-fast-charging charger vs its actual S8+ charger? (given the phone is not in use while charging?) Sorry, just asking to figure out if I can forever stick with my A3 charger, or should I buy...

Charging an S8+ with an older genuine Samsung charger

Thank you for your response. So I should just go ahead and charge it, right? I mean, if anything, given that S8's is "fast charging" and my A3's isn't, the S8+ could end up benefiting from the A3's charger, isn't that right? (Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've known, slower charge =...

Charging an S8+ with an older genuine Samsung charger

Hi, I will soon receive an S8+ without a charger. I already own an A3 2016 (SM-A310F) and its own genuine Samsung charger (with european pins if that makes a difference). Can I use this charger to charge the S8+? I don't mind if it charges slower. I just don't want to damage the phone. Let...

Fast-charging vs. normal speed charging that takes too long

Is that right? Wow, I'd expect the opposite to be honest. I dunno, I don't have high demands from a phone in general, so even though it's a 2015 model (purchased in late 2016), it's safe to say I'm planning to keep it for another couple of years.

Fast-charging vs. normal speed charging that takes too long

Yeah I guess that might be the case. So if I have to choose between: a. 4-5 hours of standard charging and use at the same time, or b. 35-45 mins of fast charging without simultaneous use, which one would be less damaging for the battery and/or phone?

Fast-charging vs. normal speed charging that takes too long

Hmm, it doesn't clarify whether it's USB or AC, actually. It just says "charger connected", "cable charging", "estimated time remaining...", you know stuff, like that. I went to Settings > Device maintenance > Battery and I also checked on my notifications. No mention of USB or AC in either...

Fast-charging vs. normal speed charging that takes too long

It's the exact same wall socket whether I charge standard or fast. I use the factory charger that my phone came with (the one with the microUSB to USB cable which connects to the plug that goes in the wall socket).
