    Dalvik to Cache

Now that there seems to be more movement on development for the V, any dev's willing to take this on? There is a method over in the S forum but it does not seem to work on the V. Could have something to do with the differences in ramdisk between the two phones? Any takers on this challenge...

    ARCHIVED: [ROM][WIP][ALPHA] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4/CM7 (GB)

As for wireless tethering, I downloaded & installed "Wireless Tether" and have had absolutely no issues with getting it to work.

    Wiping is essential

Whenever flashing a new ROM or kernel it is always recommended to do a full wipe before and after the flash in order to maintain the integrity of your system. You will find you encounter many fewer issues abiding by a strict wipe/flash/rewipe routine. The only exception I personally make to...

How I moved Maps & YouTube to the SD Card

OTA updates being allowed is an allow/deny setting within the ROM and has nothing to do with whether you move around or delete apps. And you can always re-flash whatever ROM you have on the phone to get it back to the way it was. By definition the fact that the phone is rooted means it is no...

How I moved Maps & YouTube to the SD Card

This thread is not about how to remove system apps. It is how to successfully move Maps and YouTube and a couple other redownloadable apps to the sd card as opposed to having them in the internal memory

Anyone Tried the CWM Recovery from the S?

I personally have a fear of CWM Recovery as it was a huge no-no on my old phone (HTC Eris) due to bricking issues and RA was the safest option. May do well on this device but I'll stick with RA which is known to work and be safe.

How I moved Maps & YouTube to the SD Card

Only if the OTA doesn't change the bootloader, then you will have to find another root method.

How I moved Maps & YouTube to the SD Card

If you have root, you don't want to download OTA updates because they will unroot your device.

How I moved Maps & YouTube to the SD Card

That is why I said this will only work with apps that are re-downloadable through the market. You can download all of the apps I've listed in the market.

How I moved Maps & YouTube to the SD Card

I didn't replace mine due to the class. I replaced mine because the stock card was only 2GB.

How I moved Maps & YouTube to the SD Card

I agree about replacing the stock sd card. It was the first thing I did when I unpacked the phone.

How I moved Maps & YouTube to the SD Card

I managed to free up some internal space by moving Maps, Voice Search, Google Search, and YouTube to the SD Card. (Only works with those apps which re-downloadable from the market) First, you MUST have a rooted phone. Install Move2SD Enabler with External enabled and a file explorer with...

Forcing apps to SD after root

Yeah, forgot to mention, definitely do not move apps that have associated widgets. If you intend on using the widgets. Also, if you use the contacts sync with twitter or facebook, leave those apps on the phone as well.

Forcing apps to SD after root

Move2SD Enabler is a good app to enable the App2SD option on apps which don't have an install preference. You won't be able to move all of them but several which didn't have the option before will be available to move. Works well with App 2 SD app. Move2SD Enabler...
